Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Adam and Lourdes found each other through the medium of a dating app. They struck up a conversation on New Year's Day and quickly realized that they had found something special in each other. Despite the distance between them - Lourdes living in London, and Adam in Northern Ireland - and the challenges of a long-distance relationship, they remained determined to make it work.
Finally, on the sixth of March, they were able to meet in person. As they laid eyes on each other for the first time, they both knew that the online spark would continue to grow. Over the months that followed, they continued to build on their relationship, strengthening their bond and deepening their love for one another.
Lourdes met the Powell family over some evening meals in London and Guildford, and after her Northern Ireland trip, the whole extended family loved her to bits!
Adam met Lourdes' sisters and mother during their holiday, where he enjoyed exploring the city with them and getting to know them much better. He knew then that their trip was just the beginning of a long and meaningful relationship.
On Christmas Day, Adam and Lourdes went on a hiking trip up Grindelwald First mountain in Switzerland. As they reached near the peak, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Swiss Alps, Adam got down on one knee and proposed. Lourdes was overjoyed and said yes!, making the moment one that they would both remember forever.
As Lourdes and Adam prepare to exchange vows this August and begin their journey as husband and wife, they can't wait to see what the future holds. They are committed to building a strong and loving relationship, founded on their faith in Christ, and are thankful for the love and support of their family and friends as they begin creating a lifetime of memories together.
